The WBO super spring weight champion Emanuel Navarrete (39-2-1, 32 Kos) defends his belt not known against undefeated.
In the co-feature, easier contemporary Raymond Muratalla . Zaur Abdullaev (20-1, 12 Kos).
This struggle should be the main event on this map, since Muratalla is an emerging star. This match-up is much more interesting than the headliner. Muratalla tries to maintain a world championship title, but has so far been ignored by the Champions.
The Muratalla against Abdullaev and Navarrete against Suarez event are shown Live on ESPN and ESPN+, from 10 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. Pt.
Also on the menu, the Giovani Santillan (33-1, 18 KOS) welterweight is located against Angel Beltran (18-2-1, 11 Kos) in a 10-round fight. The fans know Santillan from his Knockout defeat against Brian Norman Jr.
Suarez, 36, comes from the Philippines and took part in 2016, but lost to Joe Cordina. As a professional, Suarez made a remarkable fighter, Yohan Vasquez, through a ten round decision in 2023. Vasquez dropped Abdullah Mason twice in her exciting battle on November 8 last year. Unfortunately, Suarez doesn’t fight like Mason. He is a boxer and will try to optimize navarrete.
It is difficult to predict what the 30-year-old navarrete will look like in this fight because he was taught by Denys Berinchyk last year and on May 18 in a fight that seemed to be for the Ukrainian, a 12-round decision.
Navarrete looked chubby and 100% unsuspecting in this fight. He also played badly in his collision against Robson Conceicao, but had a controversial 12-round difference on November 16, 2023.
Navarrete jumped back from his defeat against Berinchyk to the past in the sixth round on December 7th last year in what many boxing fans considered senseless Rematch for business level. Emanuel had already made Valdez slightly in her first fight on August 12, 2023 through a one-sided 12-round decision, and there was no point in contesting for money purposes that the two fought against a retirement against a reservations in 2024.
“San Diego is an incredible city of fighting and we are happy to return with Emanuel Navarrete, who will be one of the great Mexican champions of his era,” said promoter Bob Arum. “Charly Suarez is a determined, undefeated candidate who cheered him on in the Philippines. Raymond Muratalla is a light elite lightweight, but has a big task against Abdullaev, which has been an enormous run for several years.”
